The Barking Lot was first opened in 1982 by Karen Friemann at Camellia Plaza, where she first met her husband when he brought in his two Airedale terriers for grooming. In 1985, The Barking Lot was relocated to its current location in Sciota and has continued to faithfully serve the area as a full service boarding and grooming facility ever since. A graduate of the New York School of Dog Grooming, Karen Friemann is an avid pet lover and "mom." She seeks to devote the same loving care to each client as she commits to her own furry children.
